If you’re looking for railings for your upcoming projects, probably you’ve seen the word “galvanization”. Some suppliers use it as a marketing highlight while others consider it a process to be omitted. Actually honestly, galvanization is the most crucial step in ensuring that the steel railing system can survive in real environment —— AND THAT IS NOT EVERY FACTORY DOES IT RIGHT.
Before discussing why galvanized steel railing is a smart choice for most projects, let firstly answer the basic question: WHAT IS GALVANIZED STEEL RAILING?
Galvanized steel railings, literally meanings, steel railings that have undergone hot-dip galvanizing treatment – a layer of zinc is coated on the surface of the steel.
Here’s how it works: The steel is dipped into molten zinc at around 450℃. The zinc bonds metallurgically with the steel – not just coating on the surface like paint, but actually becoming an integral part of the metal itself, which contributes to a tough & corrosion resistant protective layer that can last for decades.
A steel railing system typically includes:

Posts – a vertical support anchored to the structure
Handrails – the top horizontal bar for support
Balusters or infill panels – vertical or horizontal components between the posts
Fittings and brackets – hardware components that hold all the parts together
What is the key difference? Unlike bare steel or even painted steel, galvanized steel doesn’t require constant maintenance to stay rust-free. The zinc layer acts as a sacrificial anode – when the coating gets scratched, the zinc corrodes first, while the steel remains unaffected.
What We Do Differently in Our Factory?
Galvanizing is a process and the difference is in how much you care about the steps in between.
We have 4-layer protection powder coating technology : Henkel Pre-treatment system provides superior adhesion between the base material and the powder coating, while the zinc-rich epoxy primer coating covers all welds and cutting edges, together with the AkzoNobel top coat realizes the exceptional weather resistance, available in a variety of colors and also backed by a 15-warranty limited manufacturers’ warranty.

Galvanized steel railing is the working-class hero of the railing world. They are unassuming and do not shine like polished stainless steel. But they stand there year after year, weathering rain, snow, salt and scrapes – without asking for anything in return.
The steel provides the strength, while zinc provides the protection. And we ensure that for every piece leaving our factory has both. Want to see the difference? Just ask for a sample – cut, welded and galvanized, and ready to inspect.
